Here’s a journey into how my dumb random brain works: I wanted to do a St. Patrick’s Day piece but didn’t want to do just a leprechaun, so I thought about other green stuff (had a killer drunken Slimer from Ghostbusters idea I might get to some day) and boom! Godzilla came to mind. How had I not drawn Godzilla before?! Well I remedied that, but then after I finished the B/W old-school throwback I realized the whole point was making something green for St. Patty’s! Stop being stupid, stupid! So I did a green alternate and it came out flamethrower even though it has zero to do with the holiday. Can’t wait to throw these up on the etsy, I’m pretty proud of them. And you can’t tell too well, but the alternate glows under black light. Because of course it would.

Doubled down on my last simple yet nostalgic piece with this one, before I go back to working on bigger, more detailed, complicated stuff. Had this idea for a bit, I felt like it works out and is fun enough. Was difficult choosing between Zartan and Dr. Mindbender, though.
Not sure what’ll become of this, but I do know I am definitely going to scan it to use for stickers and maybe other items, maybe some prints, who knows. Would be rad to see this on a pint glass or thermos. Let me know what you think, or if you’d dig a print, or if you have any mash-up’s you’d like to see in the future.

Keeping my creative train rollin’ with another quick-ish yet kick-ass piece.
Growing up as a kid, for me, it was G.I. JOE, MOTU, Transformers, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but not necessarily in that order. As a matter of fact, embarrassingly enough, one of my first ever concerts was a TMNT live experience. This was a rad little tribute to Eastman and Laird and their crazy creation that spawned a giant universe that still goes hard, apparently. I was originally going to attempt a giant mural of every TMNT character I could conjure, but didn’t think it would be worth it. Growing up as a kid, for me, it was G.I.JOE, MOTU, Transformers and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, but not necessarily in that order. The amount of time spent on this one was ridiculous with a capitol R. I even somewhat sped through my Clockwork Orange piece so I could get to creating it sooner, because that’s how I roll when I’m excited for a work.
This one’s for the cinephiles and hard-core horror heads.
“The Poet of the Macabre,” “The Godfather of Gore,” Lucio Fulci started out with Italian comedies and spaghetti westerns, but would make his indelible mark with Giallo and Horror. His trademark becoming eye trauma, and well, IYKYK. He’d sadly never get to realize how important and appreciated his work would become, inspiring the likes of Quentin Tarantino and countless others. I made this piece as a tribute to one of the greatest Italians to ever do it, he lived a very tough life but his work lives on forever. The legend himself surrounded by nine of his films, I feel like this is easily one of the best works I’ve ever done.
I’ll be able to make prints of this but they’d be a bit more expensive because of the size, so I’d much rather just sell the original.

This one was a long time coming as I’ve always known what I would do, so I stopped procrastinating and got to it, making sure to make as grandiose a piece I could for it.
Stanley Kubrick received death threats after this film’s release and some countries banned it, while it would move on to become one of the most critically acclaimed, unforgettable movies ever.
I tried to include as much as I could in this, to behoove the droogs.

I remember being a teen and reading all the Sin City books, that super-gritty, neo-noir, violent vibe felt like something I shouldn’t have had my hands on but I needed to own every one. Frank Miller’s art style might not look difficult, but it’s definitely unmistakable and this piece took a whole lot of work. Probably not going to be able to scan this because of its size (so there will only be this one), but also not sure how I should price this. If anybody is interested, shoot me an offer. I don’t know what this is or what I’ll do with it, I just know that I needed something super simple, quick and light between heavy projects, because I’ve definitely not been in the best head space lately. I thought of TV cartoon duos and plopped this out. Perhaps I’ll make copies of it and I’ll include one with every Etsy purchase, color it and sell it, or maybe just give it away randomly as a surprise. Snoopy and Woodstock just chillin’ in the cut.
Sending some sincere support and good energy to anyone out there who feels frustrated, depressed or beat down.

I’ve done countless film, TV and music pieces, but it occured to me days ago that there was one avenue I hadn’t artistically ventured down yet…literature. So I got booked. And who better to begin with than my all-time favorite author I’ve been... Zoom

I’ve done countless film, TV and music pieces, but it occured to me days ago that there was one avenue I hadn’t artistically ventured down yet…literature.
So I got booked. And who better to begin with than my all-time favorite author I’ve been reading for decades, Chuck Palahniuk. I got so torn after inking because I loved the plain B/W version so much, I almost didn’t wanna ruin it by coloring. So I scanned the B/W, then printed out another copy and basically created 3 versions: the simple total B/W, a B/W shaded portrait with color backing (my original idea), and a full color. The B/W portrait with color backing was done on a glossy poster board, and is now my favorite 9x11 I’ve ever done, besides my Phenomena piece.
This was LOTS of work but it feels fantastic having finished them. Who next? Stephen King? Poe? Lovecraft? Philip K. Dick? Tons of possibilities.
